Why is my duckling coughing?

I have just recently been given two pet ducklings, the genders and breed are uncertain, all we know is they are some kind of domesticated ducks. Today I noticed that one of them (presumably male) was coughing while he drank his water. Almost every time he took a sip he would let out a little cough. It's quite possible that he simply inhaled some water and is trying to get it out, but I just did some research on poultry diseases and now I'm paranoid. He is about four and a half weeks old. We have chickens on the property, and although the ducks have never come into direct contact with them, they are free to roam the same area as the chickens do. I'm worried he might have picked something up from one of the chickens but I'm really not sure. I'm new to duck world so I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing. Please just let me know what you think. I'm probably being paranoid but I don't want to take any chances.

It is deep enough for him to dunk his head, I made sure of it when setting up their water bowl, although I have never seen either of them dunk their heads. It isn't wide enough around for them to swim in, as I was told they shouldn't go swimming before 5 weeks due to lack of being able to produce waterproofing oil, though I am planning to get them a small "pool" later this week.

There doesn't appear to be anything. He was only coughing while he was drinking, other than that he seems fine, and I never noticed it before today.

Ok thanks. That's what I thought, but since I'm new to this whole duck thing I just wanted to be sure.
