Why is my Girl Making This Noise?

Sorry, have you opened her mouth to have a look? It could be something stuck there. A while back one of my hens had this weird sneezing episode, it must have been stuck food or something because it was gone by the next day. It made me nervous too.

No I have not. It is dark right now. Should I check anyways just so nothing happens over night?

No, it shouldn't affect her immediately or be that harmful.

I was just saying the poop had been piling up.

Sometimes night checkups are better because the hens are calm when roosting. Grab a headlamp and take your time. even better if you have someone to assist by holding the hen while you look.

Also, I wrap my hen in a towel so she can’t fuss and flap her wings if she is so inclined.

I saw nothing in her throat although I didn't look very deep.
