Why is my golden comet egg almost white

The color deposited on the outside of the egg is produced by resources stored inside of the hens body. The color of the eggshell is unimportant to the viability of a baby chick or to the food value of the egg. If a hen who normally lays a colored egg suddenly starts laying a white or non-colored egg then the hen laying that white egg has run out of the resources needed to tint the eggshell in question.

Just a good decent diet.
The brown coating fades over the laying cycle, normal and not a problem.
