Why Is My Hen Suddenly Screaming?

So my hen turns a year old April 22 and she was born 2020. She would give this blood-curdling scream when she is sitting in her laying box, getting ready to lay, which I just figured was her being offended that I was intruding on her egg time. But now she has begun doing the same scream anytime anyone is nearby, sometimes at random and for no apparent reason. She's never done this before outside "Egg Time"

Some hens are very vocal. Like some people. They think their opinion is very special and must be made broadly available so no one gets deprived of it.

Maybe trying to crow? I heard hens can do that if there are no roosters around.

Possibly. There aren't any roosters around. I don't have the means of taking care of forty little children, haha!

Update: I figured it out, guys!! Thanks for the input! She was just starting to become broody! She's incubating some eggs now!
