Why is my nipple waterer leaking?

Hi,

Well I followed the link on making the nipple waterers. I used the 11/32 drill bit and everything went together.

However water is coming in a continual leak from each nipple. Not the gasket but the metal nipple. Drip, drip, drip.

Why? I am wondering if there is too much pressure on the metal nipple? (didn't drill the hole big enough?)

Is there a close up picture of how to make them? Maybe I inserted them in backwards?

Can u post a pic of your assembled cup??

All nipples are not created equal. Some require a drip cup (the all stainless ones from Farm Tek). I have the screw in red/orange plastic ones and have not had a problem (they do not require a drip cup). Pictures would help.

Thanks everyone. I spoke with Katy the Chicken Lady and she laughed when she realized I had inserted the nipples from the inside of the bucket instead of the outside.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! And they are drinking!!!
