Why is my Pekin duck "sneezing"?

Well, spending a while outside today building a new run for the girls, I can definitely say that ms. Duck is NOT better. She's still active but sneezing sneezing sneezing. Ugh...I don't know what to do now..

Mine is no better, either, and I didn't mean to hijack your thread. They just seemed to have somewhat similar issues.

She still sounds the same, and she is dirty like crazy. That is new. The back half of her body is brown from about the mid-wings to her tail. Her feathers are hard and crinkly. The best way I can describe it is that she's like a duck that's been washed with shampoo then allowed to play around in dirt and mud before she reoiled her feathers.

That led me to check her oil gland. It looks normal, but she screams when I get near it even though she's typically pretty docile. I don't know if that's because it's painful or if she doesn't like me meddling around with her private parts, but I can't help thinking it's the former because of the way she's reacting.

This is the "odd sounding duck with crazy issues" thread now, so feel free to hijack lol. I really hope your girl starts feeling better soon. Can ducks get infected or plugged oil glands? My girl looks and feels oretty normal feather wise other than she's molting like crazy and it looks like a duck exploded right outside of the coop lol. The poor girl is sitting on any eggs I let her (which is none, but she sits til I let them out in the morning.) I did notice yesterday when she pooped in the garage that it was very wet and almost looked like her food wasn't fully digested. Both girls will have the odd watery squirter but I always thought it was normal.

Yes, oil glands can get infected, impacted, overactive, underactive, weird, wiggy, and just not normal. What I don't get is that this is new since she's been on meds. She looks more disheveled than she did before she went on the meds, which makes me think she already had a developing problem or there's something new going on. GAAAA!

The watery poop is a bit puzzling if you've already done a dewormer. Are you feeding a lot of foods with high water content? I'm very curious to see what your vet says.

Yes, lady would have been correct hehe. They free range all day so who knows what they're eating. I'm hoping I can get her in today or tomorrow, I'll find out when they open in a couple hours. As it is, I can hear her making her noise from the house right now. The other one is still normal sounding and about twice the size of her..

Do you think maybe the meds she is on could be causing the issue with her feathers? when you put her in water does she start bathing and preening afterwards?

Maybe the meds are making her feel sick and she's not preening, and that's just a guess.
