Why is my young rooster doing this

We had a rooster that just loved my brother's football! And, I just witnessed my 11 week old frizzle, grab one of his friends by the head and just hump the ground!! I didn't even know he was old enough for that stuff but, he sure thought he was!

Roosters will be roosters
