It is always the same chick. this chick has been smelly from almost day one. She stinks ALL the time. She smells like raw hamburger... BLAH its so gross!!! None of the other chicks smell!!! what is her issue??

Update: by golly! I think that bath did her some good! as she was mostly smelling good except for her face, I must say that she is completely stink proof now!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is her crop ok, I had a stinky chick then realized she had sore crop. Poor thing got real sick. I finally got it to clear up. Is that chick smaller then the others? If so it might have a crop issue.

she's not smaller... she's actually one of the ones who doesn't appear sick!!! LOL! Im now worse confused! its like her feathers are stinky though. not just around her face.. she just smells in general.

she has a blackish toe, could that be whats stinky? or it could just be discoloration I have no clue!

haha ya. its just a dish of warm water. dont set the baby down in the water tho, soak a wash cloth in the water and gently rub the baby's feathers down with it :] then take a hair dryer, put it on low, and dry the chick. but i would get like a little container with holes in the side and dry the chick that way :]

OK, will do with a wash cloth.

gosh I hope this gets the stink of out of her because nobody wants to pick her up LOL! she's SO stinky! everyone else just smells, you know... like bird!

You need to "sniff out the problem". Is the smell coming from her backside; her beak? Sniff the black toe. Is it infected?

There has got to be a reason she smells bad. I'll watch this thread to see how this turns out.

Poor little thing.......It's not fun being stinky.

I noticed in one of your other threads you mentioned your chicks sneezing. That combined with the bad smell could mean coryza.
