Why isn't my rooster fertilising the eggs??

Every time you cook eggs, look and see if you are getting a bulls-eye. If most of your eggs that you eat are fertile, you can confidently set eggs to hatch. However, as stated above, not every fertilized eggs makes it to being a chick for genetic reasons, or for temperature reasons, or just bad luck.

When I wrote 1.8 I didn't mean almost 2 months I meant one year and 8 months and yeah it is pretty hot around where I live

I have a dozen eggs of my Sussex and if most of them hatch I'll prob keep him

Ps does a buff Cochin and light Sussex make a buff Sussex???

.......... If he's got too much fluff going on, or the female has too much fluff, or she does not lift her tail up and out of the way, breeding will not be successful. Perhaps he needs a bit of fluff trim. If it's super hot, that could be affecting fertility. Check your egg fertility before setting eggs again.

Did you just recommend a chicken manzilian?!?!?
