Ugh why do people feel the need to hit my car all the dang time!? I know they don't mean to but dang my car is an accident magnet!!!! And the best part, they are never my fault!!!!

A few years ago I was rear ended on my way to work. A few weeks later I was hit again when I was parked at a friends apartment complex. They were both hit and run so my poor car had to suffer cuz I couldn't afford to pay for it. For years I had a busted tail light and a messed up bumper. My trunk still worked great! It just didn't look good. Later on down the line I meet my husband who is way into cars (he's in a truck club) and when I was at work or something.. maybe school..? He went to the junk yard (pick-a-part) and got a hub cap and a tail light and tried to fix damage on my finder from my brother backing into me car and from the hit and runs. Then on Oct. 2 we were on our way to a cruise night and some people from out of the country completely cut my husband and I off and we had no option but to hit them. We were on the freeway and there were people in the other lane. They were driving about 35ish when everyone else was going 65ish. The man admitted that he was looking at the GPS instead of the road. Oh boy was I mad!!!! Well we got about $3,000 grand from that accident and my husband fixed everything and we repainted my car, got brand new wheels and tires, and new zebra print seat covers!! My car got a complete makeover! I was so happy and we still were driving really careful because it hasn't been on the road long....

Last night we were on our way to dinner with our roommates and some jack wagon in rear ended me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was soooooo completely mad all i could say was are you $#@&*#@ kidding me!!!!!!!!??? We were dead stopped at a red light with a cop right in front of us and all of a sudden BAM! my head jerked forward and I was completely startled and asked my hubby is that really freakin happened right now!? He got out and said something idk because I was raging. So we pulled over to the church that was on the side of the street while the cop drove off. My honking did not get his attention. So we get to the church and the guy was like oh I will fix it, do you have your insurance blah blah blah. I said uh I'm calling the cops to get a report. WOW did his attitude change. He was such a jerk! I hadn't even noticed that his car was an escalade until the 911 operator asked me what kind of car he was in. I did not care!! I was worried about MY car. After that all hell broke lose. He called his son or boyfriend to the scene, probably because my roommates turned around and came back. When his whatever he was came, he started talking crap. I was ignoring it because I'm sure they were trying to get under my skin but when he said oh you see it's a caddy escalade you think pay day, I yelled SHUT THE &$%* UP AND GET THE $%&# AWAY FROM ME NOW. The cop told them to stay away from me before they went to jail for harassment. My roommates boyfriend took his shirt off because he was ready to kick some butt. Anyway..

The guy claims that he accidentally took his foot off the break because his small dog was loose in the front seat of his car. Isn't that illegal? If not it really should be and i told him it was lol. But there was too much impact for his story. The left arrow had just turned green and I think he wasn't paying attention because of his dog and thought our light was green and hit the gas then realized it wasn't and hit the break but hit my car. There is some paint damage on my fresh new paint and some cracks in the new bumper that we just put on. Then when we got home, we discovered that the trunk is messed up and now does not close. This is just great. My hubby can't fix this one. It has to go to a shop. I called his insurance last night and filed a claim. I was supposed to receive a phone call today but called the claim person myself because I got tired of waiting around. The insurance guy can't get ahold of the jack wagon who hit me. He has 5 days if he doesn't respond then they send a letter and he has 10 days to respond to that. If he doesn't then they take matters into their own hands. Until then I don't get a rental car. Just great. I don't have a working vehicle. AGAIN!!!!!!!! There is an adjuster coming friday to look at the damages on my poor BOO (my car is called "The BOO" cuz it's a Malibu). We took a bunch of pictures of damage on my car earlier and I spent a lot of time uploading them to e-mail them to the insurance guy and of course the e-mail didn't go through. I've tried it a few times. I'm starting to get mad. As soon as I get the accident report I am giving it to his insurance. This can not last as long as the last one did.

I think we need to wrap my car in caution tape. My poor baby!!! STAY AWAY FROM MY CAR!!!!!!!! I wouldn't be as mad if the guy who hit me wasn't such a disgusting person. I know it's not got to wish it, but I do hope that karma catches up to him. I don't care about money, I'm not trying to make money. I JUST WANT MY CAR FIXED and people to stop hitting it! What color is your car?

I heard that greenish cars are hit the most. When I had a blue-green Chevy min van I swear everyone in sight would try and hit it, sports cars would try and merge right in to the side of it.

My new car is white, my truck is white and I think any other car I buy will be white, they seem to see that.

[IMG] I was so shocked to read about your accident last night. I am so sorry. As you know- I have had my own recent accident and know how much it can effect you emotionally to have what is essentually a heap of metal dammaged. I was also very attached to my car and am still waiting for Christmas and New year to be over so I can get things moving on getting my own lump of metal fixed. I hope things move quickly for you with getting things fixed, its no fun being without a car when you are so used to driving.

Hopefully this will be the last of incidents your car has to suffer. Sadly there really is a limit to the number of times you can safely fix them.

My car is silver. It was like a regularity silver but now it's like a bluish/purplish silver because the paint is kind of custom [IMG] it's really pretty. It has sparkles too. I love it! I've got to wash it once since it was newly painted.

Ducky... Thank you dear. I hope you can get the ball rolling on yours soon too. It sucks that a heap of metal can mean so much too. My grandma who passed bought me that car and people keep wrecking the poor thing.

Wayne and I both said the car would survive another accident lol but it has. Who knows. My poor baby. I guess if people don't stop wrecking my car I will get a volvo soon and I might not even have to public for the darn thing.

I'm so sorry, I can empathize with you though, my truck seems to attract stupid people. I got backed into at the dollar general by a guy in a little mosquito sounding car and he said he didn't see me. How do you not see a big 4 door bright RED Ford truck? I mean unless he looked straight under me??

I am glad to read you called the police and are doing it through insurance. It is just better than hoping they do the right thing, and if they don't then people say," You should have called the police."

Sorry to read of all your accidents. My last one was when I was pregnant with my dd(so 12 years ago) and the WORST part was having the man who hit me yell at me in front of everyone trying to blame me. Seems like people always try to blame you first, and then back track to other excuses if you don't break.

And not to say go for blood, but my friend says that there can be medical issues (to head and neck)that crop up days later following simple rear end accidents.Keep it is mind because even a few doctor visits and pain meds can add up. Insurance should give a little extra over the actual repair.Well, atleast they did that for me,but it was probably to cover any pregnancy related claims I might have.

Oh I so know what you mean! My car is a year old and I already got rear ended twice. Maybe yours also has a cloaking device it came with. I will put a 3ft trailer hitch on my Prius. Maybe that will help. Maybe you should consider it too?
