If you have gotten eggs mostly from the store in your life, you rather expect perfect eggs. But those eggs are highly sorted. Only perfect eggs are sold to home kitchens. The other eggs are perfectly fine, and they are sold to companies that use eggs to create their product.

So - there is nothing wrong with that egg. It is an involved process creating an egg, and a sometimes there is a hiccup. This is not caused by feed. There is no need for concern. She may often lay like that, perhaps a little funny spot in her tract caused by genetics. She may never lay another one, might have been caused by a jump or a bump into something.

When I get these, they are often double yolkers.

Usually laid by a newly matured pullet when their reproductive tract is still sorting itself out.
