Why my ducks moved

I have a huge pond and I went out to feed my ducks and i got a call from my neighbor that lives about 1 mile away saying my ducks took up residency at his pond why would they do that?

I have no idea why they would do that unless looking for food or mates. Bummer, I'm sorry. They may come back as easily as they left. Maybe someone else can give you some better answers.

I got them back and when I did I fenced around the pond so they so they could not leave again
