When my Blue Rock first started laying she did her egg song, but now, I think she has things a little backwards. She starts "singing" before she goes in the nest box, and then once she lays, she walks out silently and goes back on her way. LOL I think she is a show off, as if to say' "Hey everybody, watch me, I'm gonna lay an egg!"
