Why scramble them?

See I don't give them hardboiled eggs because they still LOOK like, well, EGGS - unless you take the time/effort to smash them up so that they don't.
I feed mine raw, without the shells. I feed the shells crushed up separately.

I have had some egg eating problems, but I don't think they are AT ALL related to feeding eggs. One of the hens decided to start dustbathing in the nestbox and well, broken eggs resulted

so she learned to play soccer with the eggs to hasten the cracking......

A smaller nest box and different bedding seemed to pretty much solve that issue.

I never thought about it... recently, it's because it's been cold and it's a nice treat. Usually we have no extra eggs- I only have 6 hens. Also, I have a sand floor, and that's an icky mix!

I doubt that a raw egg from the same flock would infect any chicken. Unless your chickens are really separated if one is sick, chances are very good that all have it--they eat from the same feeder, drink from the same waterer and peck through each others poop.

Maybe they'll make the connection, maybe they won't. All too often, though, they do. I personally don't think it's worth the risk of getting them used to the taste of raw eggs... then they'll *want* them and seek them out, and once they figure out that those yummy orbits of goodness are coming right outta their own butts, how long do you think it takes before they become egg eaters?

If I drop one on the porch, I know the dog will get ALL of it with her tongue. In fact, sometimes the dog gets one cracked in her bowl just for fun. Chickens, being that they can only peck, won't be able to get it all up and I'm not going to the trouble to bring the dog in to finish the job, so it gets scrambled. They will get it all that way and I won't be left with any raw egg festering on the coop floor.

i like to give the girls a cooked warm treat....and i do not want any mess to clean up like the poster above me said. that's all.

I personally am paranoid that they would figure it out since my chickens are super smart

j/k. I like playing it safe so I cook them, it is not much effort and makes me feel better.
