Why so noisy in the morning?

I have four chickens and it seems that the two marans Are the noisiest. They just started laying their eggs. Is that why any suggestions as to how I can entertain them or keep the noise down somehow

I have a black copper Marans and she is 100% my loudest girl. I think it’s just who they are. I wish I had some advice.

Some birds are noisier than others.

Chickens can be noisy when they want something. Feed, water, getting let out to free range, escort to and from a nest site, a new nest site altogether, trouble with another member of their group, things like that are the most common. Still, some birds are more talkative than others.

If you can think of no reason for them to be noisy, chances are it's just their personality. The noisy ones can be fun sometimes, as long as you've had a good night's sleep, and your neighbours are fond of chickens

Also, if they just started laying you might be hearing the egg song! Mine are always going off from about 8am-11am then they quiet down after the morning shift of egg laying! If its all day.. well you might just have some chatterboxes out there!

If you are in truly a backyard with close neighbors, I would advise selling the noisy girls. Some people have the coop very close to their home or to a neighbors home, and that would be irritating especially early in the morning.

Get a milder breed of chickens.

Hens do that after laying eggs. Many call it them singing a song. I don't consider it singing though, as a couple of these silkies that do it do it for so long it gets annoying!

No way to make them stop doing that unless you have say some scrambled eggs ready, they'll come eat rather than "sing."

They only do this in the morning, could you be more specific?
Chicken can be vocal for several reasons, especially newly laying pullets. Might not be anything to do about it.

Mine do that in the am, it’s their “Where’s our breakfast Woman” call.
