So, we have 10 chickens. One of them is a two year old Ameracauna that lays Large grennish blue eggs. The chicken herself is only about 5 pounds. Then there is a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte which is about 8 pounds. She is about a year old and lays eggs that are so small, you would think they were from some tiny chicken. I do not understand. The BLRW has been laying like this for about 5 months and i am beside myself wondering why or how this is possible. Anyone else know? A couple of pics are added.

This is an interesting site that includes a chart of reasons for many issues with egg production, including egg size. You might want to look at it to see if there is anything you can adjust to help your chicken produce larger eggs. It seems she should be producing a medium size egg. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps029

New layers tend to lay smaller eggs. The eggs generally get bigger over time. However genetics does come into play and its possible this hen simply lays smaller eggs.

Time will tell.

Keep the basics right and see what happens
