Why soy free?? (And the effects of soy)

Hence the reason we need to get back to a true agrairian culture, one where each family raises what they need, in the way of animals and crops.
Small, not huge.

Ditto on what Biblio said.

Now, fermented soy, the way the asian cultures eat it in small amounts is just fine.

Ditto on that too.

"soya beans have one of the highest phytic acid levels of any grain or legume that has been studied.(14) This is important because phytic acid binds with minerals to form phytates that are not absorbed from the intestine. This leads to a wide range of nutritional deficiency diseases. The mineral most affected by soya is zinc. (15) Soya-based infant formula is particularly harmful because zinc is needed for proper development and functioning of the brain and nervous system. It also plays a role in protein synthesis and collagen formation; it is involved in the blood-sugar control mechanism and thus protects against diabetes; it is needed for a healthy reproductive system. Zinc is a key component in numerous vital enzymes and plays a role in the immune system."

And as for the global warming... that is a complete hoax. The dangers of soy are not.

Oh, and the other thing about soy formula?
Feeding highly prcessed phyto estrogens to baby boys, at a very critical time in their life, when testosterone is trying to do its thing, is detrimental to the boys later fertitilty abilities.

I am saying straight out that this is a jab at our 20 year old son.... Is that really a BAD thing??? At this point in his life (20, going on 12) he shouldn't be "breeding" anyway.

Tell that to Al Gore! As he flies around the world making millions on a couple people's research, tell me how it's different??? One study says this, another says that. What's true now days????????? We can't trust research, government........... they are in bed together. If the government doesn't agree with it, it's a conspiracy. If I do something about it, I am a terrorist. I don't think I would risk going to jail for soy though

Well, if you are considering the fact that you may want to have grandchildren someday......not now I am guessing

, its certainly something to consider if and when formula of the soy based kind, is being fed to babies.

Infertility rates are at an all time high. 1 in 4 couples are unable to have children now, and we are getting close to 1 in 3.
Sperm counts and viability are very low. Eggs are old and damaged before their time. Many women have a hard time even ovulating.

The following, is of course is anecdotal. None the less.....
I am the oldest of 6 children and one of two daughters.
I have alot of thyroid issues, and as a result a great deal of hormone issues. Very high estrogen and very low progesterone.
I have had 6 miscarriages as a result.
Non of my other siblings have these issues.
Want to guess why?
When I was born in 1975 (yes, I am almost 35

) the nurses put me in the nursery, and immediately started me on bottles of water and formula.
The big push, was for mothers to no longer breastfeed, and to formula feed instead. I never even got the colustrom.
Mom tried when we got home, 3 days later, but all I wanted was the bottle.
She was able to breastfeed the rest of my siblings, and they are all trim, have excellent health, and so far two of them are married with children.

I do not blame my mother. I blame an industry bent on taking away that which is natural, and replacing it with a formula that has been proven to cause infertility, and a host of other problems.

Yes, formula has saved many lives. It has its place. But it should not be soy based.
I have a long ways to go, in healing the damage in my body.

I was making a joke about our son's immaturity. Your point is taken and remembered. Your message will be passed on and discussed among my circle

You can't really be serious. Do you know that the corn, wheat, oats, barley and every other cash crop gets sprayed too??? The oranges, apples, bananas......

Organic grains are a different matter but who can afford that? In all honesty, I don't even think my grain mill could get me anything that hasn't been sprayed with herbicides or pesticides.

We buy all our grains from Wheat Montana, thru Azure Standard. $35 for 50 pounds of whole wheat is a very good price.
You really can do it.
I can get organic corn for making old fashioned Masa, $10 for 20 pounds.
It is very affordable.

Just think about this......can you afford to have poor health later in life, or now for that matter? Which is cheaper? Pay a little more now for real food, or a ton more for cancer care later?
I do not even have to have cavities filled anymore, because I learned how to cure the ones I had a couple of years ago.

Healthy Eating, Does Not Have To Cost an Arm and A Leg ( in fact, it costs less)

Well that is quite a profit they are making. Wheat at the elevator is $ 4.35 a bushel which is 60 pounds. Shoot certified seed wheat isn't even that expensive. If you have a little room grow your own, around here a 35 bushel to the acre harvest is average, up North in better ground it is closer to 70 bushels to the acre for dry land wheat.
