Last night one of my turkeys( blue slate) was laying by the fence breathing very fast. It could not walk. Thought maybe dehydrated so put some water down its mouth. It acted like it couldn't breath. I turned it upside down thinking something was stuck in its throat. (nothing) At the same time inside the pen I notice my big tom(Bronze) sitting on the ground. Which is very uncommon for him. I also noticed a hen(bronze) in a box by the tom. I didn't think anything of it. I was worried about the turkey breathing very fast. Today the Blue was better breathing normal but not moving much. It is drinking and it laid a very soft egg. The tom did not make it through the night. The hen died this afternoon. Not sure if all for same reasons or different. I remembered a few days earlier the tom was by the fence, I just thought he was having a dust bath. The hen was walking around just one day ago. The blue was fine just within an hour of being found not breathing good. Can anyone give me any ideas of what could have happened. I have 7 more turkeys I do not want to lose if I can help it.

They really are. AI would be more concerning in my opinion. Really hope it's not that.
That was the fist thing that came to my mind. Blackhead also kills the birds, but AI is so much more contagious and is going around in so many states right now.

I agree with @EggSighted4Life. Try to get a necropsy. That way you know for sure what they got and can help prevent the spread to your remaining birds.

Sorry for your losses , :hugsand welcome to BYC!
