Flakeychick, to answer your question, not everyone kill off their packing peanuts at the time of arrival. Some will put in newspapers or Craiglist to give a way free to good homes or some 4H kid who would gladly take them off your hands.
I usually get packing peanuts and I put them down immediately as I get them home from the post office.....yes, its a waste of money but no use of feeding them and cant not find homes or eat them.............I just keep those what I ordered and want. Weather has the biggest factor and if I know those wanted chicks would need more body warmth, then the packing peanuts will stay for a little while until they get a home or put to death.
Not everyone would respond and I, too, sometimes get no response and I take it as people dont know of the answer to my question. It was no offense to me when they dont get answered.
Its a lot of posts per day and I am sure it will keep on growing!
