Why won't my avatar stay?

I change my avatar, click the submit button, and it shows up in my posts just fine. But after I leave the site and come back, its a pixelated version of my old avatar, and I have to change it again. What's up with that?

try deleting all your cached images / files.

I had the same problem it was my cookies/cache. Once I deleted them it was fine.
