Why would they suddenly stop laying?

I gave her yeast powed in her food and a littel vinegar in her water she is able to stand but still not laying eggs.

If a vet isn't feasible then I'd get her in a tub of warm water let her float and relax that can sometimes help them pass one. Then when you take her out you might use Vaseline or KY and lube her up real good just inside the vent outward. If she is egg bound or has and infection Brewers yeast nor ACV is going to do anything. I hope you mean Brewers yeast when you say powdered yeast. @LilErHead

I am not sure either. I have two Pekin ducks that are a little over a year old. I purchased three new babies early this spring and one of my big girls stopped laying instantly. She laid a couple soft eggs but that was it. It has been months with no egg from her and yet she follows the new girls around all the time. She looks and acts perfectly normal. I am hoping she starts back up this fall or winter. Good luck!

My 6 ducks and 2 geese were laying consistently in their coop every night. Then one day, they decided to sleep near our pond and nest on the banks at night. They no longer come back up to the barn to their coop at dark. While this concerns me a little, I have noticed when something frightens them they just jump in and swim out into the deep. What puzzles me the most is that they immediately stopped laying. I have searched and searched the brush and grasses around the pond and cannot find any eggs. Our donkeys and dogs keep the critters away so I doubt anything is stealing eggs and I know geese kill snakes, so I have no clue. Perhaps the change in their daily routine and feeding pattern, as mentioned above, has their egg laying on hold. I can only hope.

what a gorgeous photograph!
