My hen is trying to lay, but my roo is going nuts. Is this normal? Anything I can do to make him less of a butt hole?

They did mate a couple of minutes later, they're now all (roo and both hens) cuddled up together. He's horny. That looks like he's trying to get her attention so he can mate with her.
One roo, two hens. They're CPQ and I was told they often do better as pairs and am prepared to split if necessary, but I expected to split the less favourable hen from the trio. This is his favourite hen and he's usually very kind to her and brings her treats. This behaviour lasted about 30 seconds while she's pushing out the egg then returned to normal. How many hens to roos? Is seperate him so he doesn't hurt her.
