Wierd egg.

Today i got an egg that was a lot lighter then normal and had a bunch of bumps. Can anyone tell me whats caused this?

It looks like that shell is very thin. This is just a guess but you probably got two eggs from one hen today. A second yolk started after the first and made a second egg. But the hen had already used most of her shell material for the day so that shell was thin. She also had probably used her daily pigment up so she did not have anything left to color that egg.

One of my older hen lays egg like this all the time and I'm curious why aswell.
On mine it doesn't look like it has a bloom on it.

Sorry no useful information to add, sometimes you just get a wierd egg. I wouldn't worry if it doesn't happen often.
