I have a 6 month old GLW roo that crows a little and I've seen him with the hens too. So "normal" but he also does his head from side to side allot.
You know-"walk like an egyptian" kinda side to side.
Wassup?
I'm very sorry I got rid of my Black Copper Maran roo, Larry. He always gave the girls all the treats and would play "red rover" and hussle them across the yard.
I listened to someone else and took him to the auction and kept "Gimpy" the GLW cause they said you have a couple GLW hens.
He just doesn't have the manners Larry had.
Will he mature and take care of the girls? Will he stop "popping" them on the head when they are eating scratch?

Not all roos are created equal

I know that some of mine never could function as a top roo... and a great roo is a hard thing to come by .... but, given time he might mature and figure out his role. Hopefully others will have more insight on the subject
