I'm not sure if it did. I saw a little crack in the egg so I just made it a little bigger and poked the membrane a little so it could get oxygen in but it started to bleed so I got so scared and I put it back. So I'm not even sure it can breathe right now@mammaofmiracles when you broke the shell on the second one, had it already broken into the internal membrane?
You may have another 24-36 hours before these hatch. Please don't rush them. I know you feel like you are trying to help, and its impossible not to want to help them. But now is the time when they are finishing absorbing the yolk into their bodies. Helping them out too soon will mean the yolk could still be outside their body, and trust me, you don't want that. So being patient and observant is the best kind of help right now.
Watch the membrane for any drying out -- if it starts turning brown, take a picture and let us see. Talk to them, try to keep them active, but let them rest some too. You should hear some chirping every hour or so. Watch for tiny movements, to confirm that they are still alive and not getting stuck.
You have come so far!! Hang in there!!
No no earlier . I haven't touched them since you guys told me to not open the incubator again after putting coconut oil on the membranesWhat?....Just now?.... Stop touching your eggs....Please....![]()
