SW2...I agree...we are the outdoors type of family but there is nothing funnier than watching the family be "silly " with each other...sometimes we all are going our seperate ways so much that is is nice to have something besides the dinner table to bring us together as a family...and believe me I am the first one to tell them to get their booties outside to play!!

Thanks!! I spent the last 9 yrs working 6 days a week and its a stand still job. When i get home, i dont have time for alot of activities that require leaving the house. I have housework and critters. I need something that i can do at home and i am thinking the wii-fit is going to be perfect and it will make it fun as well. I just began cutting my hours back and will hopefully find what i want and it will help me get back in shape. I really appreciate all the help. As for that baseball story.....thats a good argument for a kid.....I am not so interested in the game part as i am in the fitness.......but the golf sounds fun
In my searches....i came across a youtube video titled... "why every guy should buy his girlfriend a wii fit"
I did not want to get in trouble for posted it here....... might convince my hubby to let me get wii fit though
From what I've read, the Wii Fit is for those of us who are couch potatoes most of the time. For people who are already working out regularly, might not be worth the money.
Hey, I know Blockbuster rents the games, I'm not sure they if they rent the systems too, but it's worth a phone call to find out. That way you can try it out to see if you really want it.
I'm not a video game person, BUT me and my hubby did play the boxing game on the Wii at a friends's house, OMGosh, we were sore for like a week. It felt so good to knock him out, I could only imagine if I were really angry with him. It was a total blast. We would love to have one, we are going to wait a little while until the price drops a little bit.
I wouldn't recommend getting Wii Fit as your exercise. It's a good supplement. It has a lot of good yoga (for those who don't know anything about it) and it has some good body control exercises. But you're not likely to lose much or any weight thanks to Wii Fit.
The idea of it is to help you understand exercise and your body a little more to make it easier to be active and it's pretty good for that.
And, simply, it's got a few games that are just a lot of fun. Such as Skiing.
We have a wii, and so far we just have one disc that has baseball, tennis, boxing, and bowling on it. I love it! The first couple of days my arms were so sore. I don't know how much was spent on it, because it was a gift. It's alot of fun though. I love the tennis and boxing.
This has been great feedback.
I am not trying to lose weight, just get exercise.I am really excited now to get it and this post has made it so I understand what I need to get. I am so grateful for all the input.I get so bored with the plain old eliptical and if I get in better shape I might start biking. (On a real bike)
