Wii? X Box ? What it the most fun game system for family X-Mas

I limit the time that my kids can be on their games and tell them to go outside. We don't have a lot of problems with playing too much of the system because I have always limited my children's use. So, they are used to doing things besides playing their games.

I would advise any parent to make a child's time on the game system dependent on them finishing chores, homework or even spending time outside.

Yesterday afternoon, we took my three younger children and a young friend to a Korean Restaurant. While we were driving, my 16 year old friend and his son started to brag about how well my youngest daughter was at playing a certain video game.

There have been a few times when my husband and I have double dated with the parents of my son's friend. During those times, his friend has brought the x-box to our house and our son agreed to take care of his sisters.

Apparently, my son and his friend played a violent game with my sweet, delicate, tiny daughter:p that she loved!! And they were both impressed with her ability to kill other players.

They said that even when she died, she made certain to take out the other player.

um....I am not certain what to think about the fact that my daughter can kick her older brother's butt in a shoot em up game.

I gotta say Wii!!!! It's fun for the WHOLE family, no matter what age! During family gatherings, that's exactly what we play. BE CAREFUL! IT"S ADDICTIVE!

I have a Wii system but I haven't used it for some times, don't have time, but when the baby is born, Im planning on going right back to it! Hopefully someone would give me the Wii fitness for XMAS! If so, Wii will be hooked RIGHT BACK UP! We have PS2 as well, same as the wii, it's put away

The Wii is much better, because there are more fitness and family oriented games on it. The PS3 has mostly T and M rated games, although Little Big Planet looks cute. And the Xbox mainly has first person shooters like Halo.

We have a Wii and my kids love it! They are only allowed a certain amount of time on it after their chores have been done, usually not during the school week. But there are a lot of games that they love to play. DH and I play it too. I would definitely say that the Wii is the more family oriented one and you can have the whole family involved.

I give the Wii a

I agree with you about Nintendo... There is lots of great multiplayer stuff for the Wii.

I was one of the crazy people who sat on a sidewalk outside a store and waited for a Wii the very first day it was ever available in the US. It was well worth it since they were so hard to find for about a year because of the demand.

Nintendo has excellent customer service, too. If you ever have a problem with your Wii, they will fix it QUICKLY and get it back to you.

Tonight my book club is coming over and after I feed them enough wine, I am going to pull out Dance Dance Revolution! Bwaa haa haa!

Now THAT is an idea I like!!

Exactly. Ours was an older model and needed the upgrade to play things like super smash brothers. I had it back in less than a week and the upgrade was FREE.
