When you get your run finished, do NOT let the hens out at all until you are sure your predator is gone, even if the hens are supervised. A fox can hide less than 3 feet away without you noticing. I had one come up to my knees after a feral cat that had run up my body and was perched on my head (ouch). And at that time there was no rabies in the province. Be very careful or this animal will have everything edible, mammal, amphibian, reptile or bird, on your property.
