Wild bird feeding and blue jays

This year there are blue jays in abundance, but absolutely no doves. Juncos, house finches, goldfinches, and many varieties of sparrows are abundant. Flickers are also missing this year. Guess it's just the normal highs and lows in bird populations. Sharpshins and Coopers have definitely reduced the populations of medium sized birds - to say nothing about my pigeons.
