Wild Bird Thread!

I love stories like that. I have a few seagull stories. I am kinda reserved about liking those birds, though. One day, when the killdeer chicks were about three days old, I saw a seagull with a chick in it's mouth. It looked like a killdeer chick. But, both families still had three chicks when I saw them before and after, so I knew it wasn't any of the ones I knew I about. It might have been a swallow chick as they were breeding at the same time. So sad.
 
We have been feeding with the stick in the ground holders. They lean and are a general pain in the rear to manage.

So we designed and built a feeder station on skids.

 

a chickadee eating sunflower seeds out of my hand.. it only took a few days of being patient and the chickadees decided i'm trust worthy enough.. even landing on my hat! [this is a beautiful life]
