If you’ve been following you know that there’s this one goose that does not like my ducks one bit. Well last year it got to the point my ducks couldn’t go to the lake when the goose was there. Well it found my house and it would come and I would just chase it away and it would be gone for the day . But now it is DESPERATE. I ran it all the way to the lake and it just flies right back. Yesterday night it flew inside their gate and hissed at all my ducks and tried bitting them. I love my ducks to death so I got really mad and before It could bite one of them I hit it in it’s back and then chased it off. My ducks aren’t even out of their house yet and it’s here. It won’t let me sleep cause all I hear it do is honk. Can someone tell me what to do because my ducks have been having to stay In Their house later till it leaves. I guess I wrap the fence around the trampoline today so it doesn’t have enough space to fly in but oh boy you don’t know how much I want to kill it.

Are you legally allowed to kill it? If so, I would. I’ll get a lot of hate for this, but idc. Wild geese are becoming a nuisance animal - too overpopulated and crapping on everything, everywhere.

What happens if it builds a nest?
It is unlikely any one from the DNR or whoever handles nuisance animals will want to remove or relocate it once it has a nest and is sitting on eggs if it is a female.

Also if the goose is overly aggressive now just wait until it has babies to feed and protect.

UPDATE:
So today It flew at at me and I was able to push it away. It would not leave. I threw a brick, rocks, sticks, chased it all the way down to the lake and it would just come right back within a minute. I’ve never seen such a thing. I knew enough is enough. With some help we were able to trap it. Put him/her in the trunk and drove 5 miles where this big pond was. We let it out and now I’m hoping it doesn’t come back.

I don't know what the rules are where you live about relocating wildlife. There are a lot of people who seem to be very rules oriented, self righteous and judgmental when it comes to wild birds. You may not want to mention that you did that to anyone you know although I totally approve!!!

I hope it stays away.

Oops, you are correct, I have to have a permit to relocate it. I’m in Indiana so I’m only allowed to harrass it without harming or injuring it. To late. I don’t know how bricks, sticks, chocolate and rocks later didn’t kill it or scared it to death. I’ve never liked geese anyway they are evil little things. Thanks for letting me know ahead of time not to tell anyone, I don’t want to get in any trouble. If it comes back I don’t know what I will do.

You are in a situation ! If they haven't started already Building I wouldn't let them mess with my Birds . You have rights too if they are messing with your flock I may be tempted to fill them full of lead . In Ohio you can do some thing like , if deer are eating your apple trees you can get a permit to shoot them ! They make wonderful sausage and jerky check with the game warden !

Well it’s back. :hit This is so frustrating. I’m going to kill it but I have to have a liscence. I guess I will “accidentally” run it over. Just kidding but honestly what should I do?
