wild goose?

I did a search and the powder that healed the keel wound is called Wonder Dust.

BFI is kind of an older product. I have a work friend that bought some last year at a drug store last fall.
You might be able to get the Wonder Dust or something quite similar at TSC. If you do a search of is site using "keel wound powder" you will see the story of Joey.
Good luck to you...both. I had a Mallard years ago that was attacked and badly broken wing. The vet amputated it and gave her back. I named her Uno.
She did quite well.
Bless your heart for helping her.

I would think so. If she used the Wonder Dust with no problem it should be ok.
I have Dobermans and BFI is what we use on the ears after cropping.
My friend used it to heal a lick sore that her dog had for months off and on. In two weeks it was dried up and gone.

You are so welcome.
I am an animal "sap".
I love them all.
I have a bunch of squirrels. One that comes when I call him and will take walnuts from my hand.
I had a band of wild turkeys behind the fence tonight and had to call the neighbors to go look out their window.
But the ones that need help break my heart because except for someone like you ...what happens to them?
Thank you for persevering because most look, don't care and keep going.
I've had the privilege of picking up a hawk off the road and taking it to a sanctuary and seeing it released the following Spring.
They are all a gift, sometimes they need a helping hand just like people.
Please keep us updated, ok?

I will update Everyone in a few Days on how its going.
i would not leave your new wild goose inside the pen with a mated pair the gander may kill it. especially if you don't know if it's gander or goose. Put it somewhere safe. you can also use warm salty water to wash the wound until you get something else for it .

What does BFI stand for ?
