Wild Hogs??

Airplaneguy57-
You made me snort my drink through my nose. Buzzards are our friends; feral hogs are food for all.

WOW, did not realise hogs were suck a problem, and here I think our ground hogs are a pain.

Do any of yall with hog problems do pay hunts or anything like that? Here in Pa people pay money to hunt them in a fenced in area..
Also with that many hogs around do they keep the coyote and fox population down.

We don't have fox's but we do have coyotes around with the hogs.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions!!

In my part of Gods country we have coyotes, foxes, bobcats, hawks, owls and some have said mountian lions. Don't know about the last but wouldn't doubt it. And running along with them is the hogs. If any of the larger preditors have a chance to take a young hog they will. But for the most part they have to get past mommy. Mean and nasty only starts to discribe her. As a kid we used to seperate mom from the babies and raise them. We would grab and run like you know what. Trees were our friends. Now that I'm older and slower I will leave the foolishness to them

the frist thing i would recamend to you is to contact the wildlife fishery and parks dept or game warden thay have a list of state and local trappers that should be abel to catch most of them with baiting and live traps then thay will relocate and are eat. here in south mississippi you can not transport live wild or fariel hogs because of the infestaion problem thay have caused here and every where els it may coast you to get them trapped
and removed but it is wroth it to know your youngins are safe

oh man.......I wish you were in LA. I could send my little brother over to help you solve your problem. He has been complaining that he hasn't killed a pig in 2 years.
