Wild Mallard Ducklings

Thanks for the words of encouragement... He's warm and dry and the waterer is just right--he can get his head beak in comfortably, but that's it. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks again!

Corrae- Also make sure youre not giving it medicated chick food as it can damage a young ducklings liver.
I also found 4 mallard ducklings about a day old, 3 died overnight. One by one they would separate from their group, lose control of their necks, roll over onto its back and die. So Sad. My guess is they were poisoned before we found them as we didnt feed them anything except water for that one night. Little Winnie is doing great now though, and hoping to find her a friend soon. Best of Luck! Definitely go though the forums they are so helpful

Again, the nonmedicated chick start is based upon 30+ year old information, when the medication was arsenic-based meds. As long as it's Amprollium, it's fine.
