Wild Turkey Eggs

very nice!!

Letting them free range and go if they want to is best, you will still see them come to visit, at feeding time especially.

I once had a breeding group of Wishard turkeys which are great free rangers, and had a few wild turkeys show up with them and then one hen just moved in, she raised a brood of half wild/half Wishard. They literally ate from the hand. Some states require a permit to have Wilds on your place, others couldnt care less, you can find out which your state is from your local DNR.

Haha Ya that is why I am keeping them quiet! I am not looking to sell them but the ministry sees that in a different way.

I am in Canada and they are fairly strict. But like l said I am not going to breed them for profit and they can come and go as they please. They are doing very well by the way!!

They are very hardy, obviously, or they wouldnt survive in the wild. We have a LOT of wild turkeys in this part of Michigan and in the winter many feed them and we see some large flocks around for feeding, I enjoy watching them so I have fed them. Our DNR is pretty ho hum about them, they have many more serious things to concern themselves with people feeding wildlife, as long as they arnt traffic hazards they just dont get involved.

I expect to see 'my' wild ones around this coming winter too. They can visit my turkeys while here.
