Those birds belonged to someone.

So tell us, how did the capture go?
So we found their roosting place when it was still kind of light, they were roosting inside/on a bush! We came out later and grabbed them both at once. We then lay them in a cardboard box (it was too far to carry them) and brought them home... My dad had locked the door and the sprinklers were on! We made it through the sprinklers and knocked on the door (we had to go through the house to get to the chicken coops) Dad opened the door (we were trying to keep the whole thing secret from him until they were already caught.) He opened the door for us, not thinking twice about us carrying a big cardboard package. We went outside the next door and loaded the chickens out of the box in our old chicken run. We quickly clipped their wings and put them in the coop, locking them up for the night.
