A hawk and an owl nested three trees apart in our backyard last year. Huntsville, Alabama is growing very quickly displacing wildlife so they are moving into suburban neighborhoods. Owls have resided for 20 years in our backyard. The pictured owl is a descendant of the first owl, which lived a long life.

A couple cell phone pics from the other day. I'm sure glad these things aren't 4ft long. They'd be terrifying

And for those who don't know. Dragonflies live for several years, but most of their life is spent underwater as nymphs. Once they emerge, they only live 1-2 months as flying adults.

I was sitting in my golf cart messing with my phone and he landed on the steering wheel. I very slowly moved my finger towards him and kept pushing him with it until he climbed on, lol. He stayed for about 3 min....
