I had no idea, I'm not really good with small birds but after checking it appears it is a shrike.

They are hunters. If they can catch it they will eat it!

Just did some research and looked at some pics and it appears they impale their prey (frogs, lizards, grasshoppers, and even small mice, snakes, and other birds) on thorns and barbed wire. That's pretty wicked. A deadly songbird, lol. I really like birds of prey so I guess he falls in that category. Pretty cool....
