Will a 100 watt Bulb

Quote:
DH did my wiring for me but it was so easy, I could have done it. We watched two videos. One on making the coolcubator

And one extra one on how he did the wiring. Both were so helpful.

At the moment I'm using a 100 watt bulb but I'm in the testing mode. My eggs come this week. The problem I'm having with the water heater thermometer is it is turning off at 105 degrees (I just need to set it lower so it goes off at 101) but then it doesn't come back on until 90 degrees. That's too much of a difference. So we're still experimenting. I'm wondering if a cooler light bulb would produce different results? But I'm doubting it. I think it has something to do with the water heater thermometer. It doesn't have two little setting arrows. Just one.

P.S. My problem with the thermostat having too great a change in temperature (its kicking off at 101 now and coming on at 87!), Quintinp told me to watch this video to correct it:

Not sure how i feel about drilling a hole in the thermostat, what if I kill it! lol But we will try.

I'm using a 100W light bulb the cheap $10 water heater T-stat From Lowe's and a computer fan In a plastic tote. My temp holds just above 100 and kicks back on at about 98. I'm looking for my cell phone cords so I can upload pics.

The 100w heats up faster. I wouldn't use one without T-stat.

I don't drive so I may be forced to buy one on the Internet. It will run around 13.00 after shipping

. Still cheaper than an incubator though! Can't wait to see the pictures.
