My Leghorn hens ended up on my neighbor's roof (a two story house!!) And just so you know, chickens do not respond to threats, ex. Get down NOW or I will spank your butt!! I clipped those suckers and never looked back! I still clip them to be on the safe side but they seem afraid of heights now.
Clipping one wing of my WL Roo didn't help - he still managed to flap up to the top of the coop - I now have netting draped over top and he hasn't escaped since, although he has tried flying up into the net.
