Will a Broody Hen...

brood a turkey?

Since we started this chicken journey, I've been thinking about getting a turkey poult every year to raise for the holidays. Can a broody chicken be tricked into raising it? Like I've seen chickens raise ducks...?

I'd assume it's possible but you might need to help with the chick once it's born. I think a hen could hatch any egg but you can't be sure if she'll raise it.

I guess that's where I was going. If/when I get more chickens, it will be next year and I was going to get chicks for whoever's broody. I was just wondering if a chicken would raise a turkey poult, maybe with baby chickens that aren't hers.
