Will a hen that hates a rooster

I dunno. I have one that has never let my current rooster mate her, ever. She was raised with him, but avoids him at all costs.

That is behavior of hen older than the rooster.When roo mature enough he will take over and she will accept it

My roo is older than the head hen but she kicks his butt, bites his butt too. I have never seen her accept his advances in any way.

She is a lot older than him. His "siblings" have accepted him as head man.

Yep, my roo is the same age as my headache having hen, Snowy. Hatched the same day. She is not about to let him mess up her snowy white feathers.

In my short experiences of watching chicken love & life, I have noticed my hen go from completely submissive to her roo, then a few days she'd be growling at him, snatching all treats and good bugs he found, and strutting around like a tom turkey. Three days of refusing roo's loveings, she secluded herself in her nest box. I think she decided it was time to be a momma & stop being a lover.

I have a hen that actually hatched our current roo. Somehow I think she knows that this is her son. Maybe not biologically, but she sure did bring him into this world! She won't let him touch her with his longest tail feather. As a result, she is not a very close flock member. She's the last one out when I open the door for free range and she never hangs with the group. She has a bald patch like the others though. I'm pretty sure he's had his way with her, but she doesn't make it easy for him.

My rooster is younger than all my hens. I don't know if a hen will refuse a rooster, but I can tell you he's climbing the pecking order one hen at a time.

He dances for them, but if they don't appreciate his dance, then I have seen him chasing them down until he gets them. I've seen him mate 3 of my 5 hens so far. (not in my proximity of course, cuz I don't let him mate in front of me. And he doesn't like being knocked off a hen either, so he's getting the picture.
