Will a skunk attack a chicken?

The neighbors dogs have killed three skunks in five days, my dogs have not killed one yet ( I don't think). The live trap is a bust, they either aren't interested in the sightly broken egg smeared in honey, or the neighbors dogs cleaned them out. I have not smelled skunk since the dogs got the last one night before last. Hopefully this thinned them out enough to keep my birds safe.
