Will adding a rooster to a flock settle bully hens?

I currently have 27 hens of various egg-laying breeds, and 2 new baby seramas. Obviously, my seramas are all by themselves but recently I have found that I have a couple bully hens that just about destroyed 6 of my golden comets. I currently do not have a rooster but would one help with the bully hens? I have two young kids and didn't want to deal with a rooster but if that would help keep my bullys in check, I'm willing to give it a go.

Thanks for the offer on a roo, but I'm in Indiana. I have a neighbor that has raised a few and she said a while back that if I ever decided I wanted a roo that she could help me out with one of her "babies". I'll try it and see if it works, all I know is my poor Golden Comets look terrible thanks to the duo of bullys.

Most likely yes, but don't forget about the term "hen-pecked" LOL

I just wanted to post an update for those that offered their opinion with my bully hens problem. I located a cochin rooster which makes my girls look small and added him, and his brother, and my 6 picked on hens all in at the same time and while I had a little bit of fighting, I'm happy to report that everybody seems happy today. Even my shy americanas have come out from under the nesting boxes where they used to hide!!! My 2 bullys don't seem so mean now!! Thanks for your help!!
