Will beak grow back

My chick got a really severe case of fowl pox. Of the five two lived, 1 in perfect the other half of the top half of his beak fell off. Will it grow back over time? Do I need to trim the bottom piece?

Like toenails, beaks will grow back. Just takes time. Good luck with your sweet little one!

If damaged into the quick, beaks generally do not grow back, but that does not appear to be back to the quick. If it was my bird, I would trim the lower beak.

I have a hen and her beak looks just like that. Did she have fowl pox???

I'd say there's a better than even chance of the beak growing back. It would help to trim, carefully, the lower beak so eating will be a bit easier. Be very careful as the beak is very sensitive and also can bleed heavily if you trim into the quick.
