Will chickens eat lime? Will it hurt them?? Please respond if you kn

    I want to clean the pen area with lime but I do not want to hurt or kill the chickens if they eat it.... Any advise?

    I use oyster shell lime every week when I clean the run. It is chalked full of calcium and doesn't hurt them at all while it sweetens up the earth.

    i use agriculture lime on the floor and the run. There has been no problems with my chickens with it at all. But make sure it is agriculture lime the other type of lime can burn them.
