Will chicks be ok with a ramp?

Usually not or very faintly, as the sounds will be subdued by the broody's body and feathers.

When you go to check on them on Thursday morning, don't forget to announce your arrival by calmly talking to them prior to opening the box. This way she will know that it is you coming and not get nervous trying to protect her chicks from a potential predator approaching
