My serama chicks are 4 1/2 weeks old.
They LOVE to be outside. Our daytime temps are 70* -80*
I don't have their coop up and ready yet but I have a puppy playpen they go out in.
How long can they stay out and is it safe to leave them unattended in it? (Right now thru only go out in it when im also outside
Here is a pic of the playpen I have

I normally start putting mine outside at 3 weeks in this
introduction cage ....

If it's nice out they should be fine about noon to two, (with access to shade, water, and food) because that is the hottest part of the day, but I would check on them every half an hour. And I'm not sure that is the most secure pen, I would put some mesh or something over it if you aren't watching them the whole time e.g out gardening and have them right there.

That's my two cents.

I have a playpen like that.
Make sure it's tied or weighted down if it's windy.
If the wind catches those things the right way...they are like tumble weeds in the yard.
