Will ducks destroy the grass?

Will ducks destroy the grass like chickens do? I want my ducks to free range and can't let them if they will.

Ha I only have 6 ducks and they will destroy everything they get within 5 ft of. Lol

If I were you, I wouldn’t keep their water in their barn. Just because they are so messy, it will cause the coop to mold and get stinky.

I guess to really depends on how many ducks vs how much space they have to roam.

It probably depends on how many ducks and how much area you are talking about. Plus how often will they free range?

I'd say it depends somewhat on how big your yard is and how often you're planning to free range them. My yard is around 2-3 acres and I free range my flock of 28 ducks about twice a week with no dead grass issues. If you placed their run in a place with grass, however, I would say goodbye to it. Very messy, mud-loving babies.
