will egg bound bird ever lay again

I have a BO who was eggbound with a broken egg about 2 weeks ago and I still have not had a regular egg from her. I nursed her back to health after that and she appears healthy running with the others just no eggs

Hi -- I've just had a similar experience with my EE -- did your hen ever lay again, or suffer any other symptoms? Or did she just stay sterile but happy (as ours appears to be...)?

I have one that still lays, but they are soft shelled eggs. She was egg bound 3 times. She is still happy and healthy so far, just soft eggs.

Elite Silkies: How soon after being eggbound did your hen start laying again?
I'm hoping my hen will start again -- she's showing interest in the nesting box, and performing all the behaviors she did before laying her first and only egg, before getting eggbound. But nothing is coming from it, and it's been about a week.

I had an isa brown who was egg bound and had broken internal eggs. After the first time she laid just a few more time and then would be bound again with yolk butt. This went on for 4 months before she died.
